“Prior to the global pandemic, our United Way was able to raise and allocate almost half a million dollars,” said Sandy Vanderburg, Executive Director of the United Way of Pottawatomie County. The Board of Directors and I invite this tri-county area to join us this August for the upcoming 2023 fundraising campaign so that our United Way can re-invest in area non-profits who strive to fight for youth success, strong families, and make sure that all Individuals have access to basic needs.”
UWPC will host the 2nd annual ‘Splash into Campaign’ kickoff event on August 5 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the Shawnee Family YMCA. A donation of $5 per person is requested to purchase a wristband for entry into the event. Attendees will enjoy food trucks, swimming, games, and a rubber duck race in the lazy river. Ducks are available for adoption for $5, and the top 3 winners will receive a prize.
